From novice to master, modelers from across the Nation and around the World come to meet and exchange ideas with other modelers and to forge friendships that last a lifetime.

Our Show showcases the works of modelers from the four corners of the globe and offers a shopping bonanza with a great selection of figures, supplies, and reference material for the miniature figure enthusiast. You will discover the span of figure modeling at our Show - from historical and military re-creations to the unlimited imagination of science fiction, fantasy, and anime. Start your year off right. The Show is proudly considered a family-oriented attraction. We particularly welcome the opportunity to introduce children and youth to our wonderful hobby. Participants are kindly asked to respect all attendees, and exhibitors are expected to use good taste and judgement in selecting displays. It is not our intent to restrict artistic expression; however, the AMFS Show Committee reserves the right to decline entry or remove from display any exhibit deemed inappropriate for this Show. The Show's exhibition is open to modelers of any skill level, and we encourage the participation of new and junior modelers.

AMFS AWARDS

The AMFS Show operates its competition under the Open System, in which entries are judged independently on merit. The title of Grand Master may be conveyed to a deserving individual by a consensus of all Grand Masters in attendance. The winner of competition between Grand Masters will be presented the Atlanta Cup. The Judges Best of Show Award is the Derek Holmes Trophy in honor of the late sculptor and modeler who contributed selflessly to this Show and the figure modeling community. This award is presented to the figure or figures deemed by the judges to be the most outstanding in the show. This award is sponsored by the Atlanta Military Figure Society and Verlinden Productions.

A variable number of Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals will be awarded in the Junior, Basic, Painters, Open, and Models divisions. Below are listed the awards presented at the 2006 Show. As some awards are sponsored by individuals or manufacturers, the list below should be representative but not necessarily the actual awards that will be presented at the 2008 Show.
